As digital currencies move from concept to implementation, their success depends on trust — built through robust privacy, security, accessibility, interoperability, and transparency mechanisms. Drawing on global pilot data and institutional studies, this article examines how design decisions shape user confidence and adoption. Findings suggest that citizens’ willingness to adopt CBDCs is directly correlated with the perceived integrity and inclusivity of the system’s design. 1.
